HARRISBURG – Sen. Mike Brubaker (R-36) took part in a $60,967 donation from Isaac’s Restaurant and Deli to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank today to help fight hunger in local communities.
The donation was part of Isaac’s “Bag Hunger Soup Fund” campaign, which raised a minimum $1 donation for each soup item sold through the month of April.
“I salute the leadership, vision and generosity of Isaac’s for making this donation, and I am thankful that they have answered the call to benefit the communities they serve,” Brubaker said. “This is a fine example of a private business taking an active role in fighting hunger in our communities, and I am hopeful this generous donation will serve as a shining example for other businesses in our area.”
Brubaker co-chairs the legislative Hunger Caucus. More information on hunger issues is available at Pennsylvania Legislative Hunger Caucus.
