June 10, 2014 - A sampling of the vegetables growing in the Capitol Hunger Garden – cabbage, onions, carrots, and parsley – thanks to weather conditions and the work of local volunteers including Master Gardener Steve Cordaro from the Penn State Cooperative Extension. The volunteers specifically spent time weeding, tilling the potatoes and replanting some green beans.

July 1, 2014 – Attasia Header volunteers in the garden helping to weed, prune and plant additional vegetables.
July 1, 2014 – Lettuce is harvested in the Capitol Hunger Garden by volunteers who will transport the vegetable to the Downtown Daily Bread, a soup kitchen in Harrisburg.
July 1, 2014 – Spinach along with lettuce, beans and Swiss chard are harvested to feed the hungry at a local soup kitchen.
